About Me: Adrian Benepe has dedicated his career to parks, public space, historic preservation, landscape and urban design. He served in the New York City Parks and Recreation Department for twenty-seven years, including eleven as Commissioner, and is now Senior Vice President and Director of National Programs for The Trust for Public Land, a national organization that helps create parks, playgrounds, gardens, and greenways across the country.
