About Me: Andrea Erickson-Quiroz currently serves as Acting Global Managing Director for Water at The Nature Conservancy. She leads TNC's team of freshwater scientists, policy experts, economists and on-the-ground conservation practitioners. The team is working to identify, test and deploy innovative, large-scale strategies that demonstrate how investments in nature will enable us to secure the water we need to prosper. Andrea is a co-author of Beyond the Source, TNC’s flagship report on nature-based solutions for water security. She is a member of advisory councils such as the CEO Water Mandate and ABInBev’s Global Advisory Council.

As a senior leader at the Conservancy, Andrea has over twenty years of experience in the design, management, and leadership of conservation programs in the United States and Latin America. Her work has included strategic identification of conservation opportunities; collaborative planning and project development in a wide variety of institutional arrangements; government and partner relationship management; fundraising and financial sustainability; board development and engagement; practitioners training and capacity development; management of conservation operations in cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary multi-locational settings.
